Health and regeneration depend upon not only the right food and healthy lifestyle but in many instances, replacing elements that are so vital to our well being that the body depletes over time which is where supplementation comes in to play.
Fish oil for example or omega 3 fatty acids that when depleted in young pregnant mothers is the cause of post partum depression. Many doctors don't advise mothers to supplement when pregnant or afterwards and many mothers suffer depression but, more on this vital information later.
Many doctors don't subscribe to supplements. My family doctor told me just recently that women my age should just be taking, "calcium" and leave it at that.
It makes sense to me because, doctors don't have time to hold down their practice, read all the pharmaceutical literature and study health and nutrition literature, peer reviews etc. Many doctors just don't have the time or willingness to do the additional work although, there is a bit of a revolution of sorts and there are more and more doctors who are getting additional accredation in health and nutrition.
It's an interesting time to be a researcher for my part, I enjoy research leading edge information regarding, health, nutrition and longevity supplements and I guess you could say, "elixirs" that promote long, health life. This blog will introduce you to such resources and do some of the research most readers simply don't have time or interest in doing either.
I will provide links and references for you to follow up and to substantiate for yourself the commentary I look forward to making and your commentary regarding this blog.
I am an independent researcher and do not have any license or credentials as far as that goes so, however, I have a tremendous interest in the leading edge of information that is available for longer and healthier living without going overboard. I am not a "health nut." I am a sinner when it comes down to it and eat sugar, drink soda and eat junk food too. I mention that here so readers don't get the wrong impression, many people who write and blog about nutrition and health hold themselves to a strict standard and that's fine however, as I have said before, I am a sinner. A wise sinner but a sinner nevertheless and, I indulge in food and drinks (nonalcoholic) that are just plain taboo from a health nuts point of view. )
